Ping and Pong – A Heartfelt Thank You

I’ve been pinged.  I admit I didn’t even know what a ping was until I’d been pinged.  Apparently a ping is when an author of a blog links back to another blog.  Cooh huh?

My very first ping comes from my blogging kindred spirit Mid-Life Luncatic.  I hope you all get a chance to check out her blog.

I’ve also been ponged.  Okay, I made that up because I wanted a catchy title for this entry.  Actually, I gave permission to allow one of my poems to be included in a new book that just came out, Canine Massage in Plain English by Natalie Winter, CMT, JP.  Natalie is a full-time canine massage therapist and runs her own clinic in Nowra, NSW Australia. I wrote the poem, A Brilliant Rainbow, in memory of our first greyhound Misty Blue many years ago.

High on whispered wings I fly, a radiant star, I light the sky.
Toward the sun I soar so free, a brilliant rainbow follows me.
I pulsate through your very soul and in my paws your heart I hold.
The day will come when you’ll fly too, I’ll be there then to welcome you.
Until the time we meet again, I won’t journey far my friend.
For in your love I live so free, a brilliant rainbow watching me.

A big thanks to Mid-Life Lunatic and Natalie Winter.  This middle-aged maniac appreciates you very much.  🙂
